HELPFUL INFORMATION
Prerequisites:
The Florida Department Of Business And Professional Regulations (DBPR) requires that you complete 63 hours of course education and pass the end of course exam to be eligible to take the State exam. You will have up to two years from the date of course completion to take the State exam. To be eligible to be licensed you must:
Be 18 years of age or older
Have a high school diploma or GED
Have a Social Security number
You do not need to be a Florida resident
This all inclusive course includes:
State approved course material and final exam
Live classroom instruction
Textbook
Supplemental study materials
Certification of Completion which is required in order to take the state exam
Helpful course supplies:
Yellow and red highlighters, A simple 8 digit calculator, Paper and pen/pencil
To receive approval to take the state exam you will also need to:
Scheduled an appointment and submitted your fingerprints at: schedule fingerprints
Submitted and received approval of your MyFloridaLicenseApplication
